Puerto Rico's Existential Crisis: The Darkness

This photo comparison from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of lights in Puerto Rico before Maria (left side) and last Friday (right side) is stunning and disgraceful. And the sociopath in the White (Supremacist) House is still patting himself on the back and blaming citizens in Puerto Rico for their desperate situation. Bigoted moron.

Don't know how this comment will go over, but if all the different and often self righteous factions of the Democratic party don't unite in both 2018 and 2020 and vote out those bastards we'll deserve everything we get afterwards. I still see disturbing comments on Facebook and Twitter with Bernie and Hillary supporters bickering with each other.

Beach Bum: Arguably Democrats are not as divided as they appear to be. Certainly Bannon is doing far more to sabotage his own side than the Bernie bitter-enders could hope to do on ours.

The whole Puerto Rico saga is a disaster, but this is the kind of thing we knew was going to happen if Trump got in. Frankly I hope Puerto Ricans move to the mainland en masse and turn Florida permanently blue. They're smarter than the ideological purists who refuse to vote for a not-quite-good-enough Democrat over a Republican monster.

Beach Bum -- Agree that we need to close ranks for 2018 and 2020. We can't make the perfect the enemy of the good, particularly when we face a racist and vicious opposition.
Infidel -- We've heard that some 100,000 Puerto Ricans have already moved to the mainland, largely to Florida with family and friends. This humanitarian disaster's only ray of sunshine may be to flip purple states to deep blue for generations.
