Public Wants Special Prosecutor in Trump/Russia Scandal

An overwhelming number of Americans want a special prosecutor or independent commission to investigate the ties between Russian operatives and the campaign of Putin poodle and sociopath Donald "Rump" Trump, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll. Seventy-eight percent say an independent probe by a special prosecutor is warranted, and only 29% approve of the firing of FBI Director James Comey. A healthy plurality (46%) think that Rump fired Comey to slow down the FBI's investigation of his ties with Russia.

The poll was conducted May 11 - 13 after Rump's firing of Comey, and has a margin of error of +/- 3.5 percent.
