Congrats to Chicago's mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot on her victory in yesterday's mayoral elections. Lightfoot, a former prosecutor and openly gay woman, ran on a platform of anti-corruption and of accountability for the Chicago Police Department. Remarkably, Lightfoot appears to have won all of Chicago's 50 wards.
Lightfoot joins seven other African-American women running big cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, and New Orleans. She'll be sworn in on May 20.
