Following their cult leader and Kremlin asset Donald "Tovarich" Trump, a growing number of Republicans say they have "confidence" in Russian thug Vladimir Putin "doing the right thing" in world affairs.
Putin invaded and annexed the territory of Crimea in 2014, occupies the eastern region of Ukraine, sided with Syrian tyrant Assad to drive Kurds out of Syria, supports the dictatorial Maduro regime in Venezuela, undermines Western democracies at every turn (NATO, EU, etc.). But he was crucial in getting his asset and their cult leader elected in 2016, so that's good enough for Republicans.
