For a great companion piece, read Dana Milbank's imagining of Sen. "Ayn" Rand Paul's acceptance speech to the Republican convention in 2016. Hi-larious. This whole episode kind of bolsters the argument that "there is no there there"* when it comes to right wing thought, policies and principles.
