A great time to be a criminal, or a terrorist, but not a law-abiding immigrant --
Yup, and Dems need to start saying this. It's a great time to be a criminal, there's no more fed law enforcement, they're all sipping coffee cosplaying in military gear while waiting for law-abiding migrants on their way out of immigration hearings.

What infuriates me so much about this new operation is that it is literally punishing people for following the rules and showing up to their court hearings. It is so toxic to the basic concept of following the rules. It is an operation designed by people who hate the concept of the rule of law.

The Republican state legislative playbook --
The Republican state legislative playbook for many years has been: 1) Gerrymander the districts after taking power 2) Pass burdensome restrictions to suppress voters 3) Restrict ballot initiatives so voters can’t use them to undo 1 and 2 or pass progressive policies

The Fox "News" ecosystem and what its viewers don't know --
some pundits say otherwise (the "fox news fallacy" folks) but this type of tilted information ecosystem definitely impacts preferences -- and when the discourse is divorced from facts, it's also bad for democracy. lots of the people who don't follow news have no idea what's int he GOP budget bill

Welcome to Pride Month --
Good morning and welcome to Pride Month 2025, when "straight" white Christians get on social media, TV, and their pulpits and demonstrate how they think about gay sex way, way more and in far greater detail than than gay people do.
