"Alt-Reich" Thug Held In Stabbing Of Black Student/ Army Officer

More chickens coming home to roost in Trump's America:
The FBI is assisting in the murder investigation of a Bowie State University student to determine whether his stabbing death was a hate crime, authorities said Sunday.
A 22-year-old University of Maryland student has been charged in Saturday’s deadly knife attack that left Richard W. Collins III, 23, dead.
Sean Christopher Urbanski, of Severna Park, Md., was charged with first- and second-degree murder and first-degree assault in what police called a “totally unprovoked” attack. [snip]
Collins had been visiting the College Park campus when the incident occurred, and authorities said surveillance cameras captured the attack. Police said Collins was with two friends, waiting for an Uber along Regents Drive near Montgomery Hall about 3 a.m.
U-Md. Police Chief David B. Mitchell said Collins and his friends watched as Urbanski approached the group. Urbanski said “step left, step left if you know what’s best for you.” Collins said “no.” Urbanski attacked.
Urbanski is believed to be associated with "Alt-Reich," an online Facebook group whose name speaks for itself.

The victim, Richard Collins, recently graduated from Bowie State University and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army intelligence branch just last week.

"Economic anxiety" claims another innocent life.

New Displays of "Economic Anxiety"

News items:

--Interracial couple in Ohio have their home broken into and vandalized with swastikas. They even poured cement down the house's drains.

--Racist bile spews forth as Minnesota's Mall of America hires a black Santa Claus.

--Muslim-American woman attacked in the New York City subway by thugs trying to rip her headscarf off.

That "economic anxiety" that corporate media pundits assure us was the core issue for neo-fascist Donald "Rump" Trump's supporters sure has a funny way of expressing itself.

Signs of "Economic Anxiety"

While some in the broken corporate media are busy normalizing neo-fascist bigot Donald "Rump" Trump after last week's election, his deplorable alt-right supporters are seeing the election as their mandate for racist harassment, intimidation and vandalism in Rump's name. The Southern Poverty Law Center has compiled a list of over 200 incidents (and growing) of threatening behavior, and some news outlets are also noticing the uptick in those incidents (see here, here, and here).

Watch as the accomodationists and both-siders discuss how the Dems overlooked the "economic anxiety" of blue collar Rump voters, while dismissing the obvious white nationalist, xenophobic and misogynist nature of their candidate's message. Here's E.J. Dionne, from the same article we quoted in the post below:
"When exit pollsters asked voters to name the most important issue facing the country, he won among those who listed immigration or terrorism; he lost among those who cited the economy. Trump’s hard-edged social conservatism, not just a general anti- establishment appeal, drove up white turnout in many key counties." (emphasis added)
While there have been dislocations in the Rust Belt states over many decades, under President Obama there've been 7 years of continuous job growth, the revival of the American auto industry, and retirement accounts that have been replenished with the surging stock market. Painting this ugly election as being fought over "economic anxiety" is dishonest and dangerous.
