We almost let December pass without featuring one of our favorite "winter-named" groups: Bon Iver (from the French "bon hiver" or good winter). Group founder Justin Vernon has made his mark not only with the band, but as a featured contributor and composer for such diverse artists as Jay-Z, James Blake, Bruce Hornsby, Japanese House, and Taylor Swift. Here, he teams with LA-based indie pop singer / composer Ethan Gruska on "So Unimportant," a non-album single released earlier this year. Enjoy.
One of the best indie-folk bands, Bon Iver, has been creating great tunes over the past 15 years, garnering Grammy awards and many fans along the way. They've also collaborated with the likes of Taylor Swift, James Blake, Beck and others on their albums. Bon Iver (from the French "bon hiver," or good winter) formed in Wisconsin, where they know "good" winters well enough. Here's "Second Nature", their new release from the soundtrack of the film "Don't Look Up," starring Meryl Streep and Leonardo DiCaprio.
