We can only imagine how these puerile screeds are seen in the capitals of the world, much less in Iran.  The projections ("These maniacs are on the ropes" -- you look like the maniac on the ropes, Don) and the irony ("Their navy is gone" -- the men and women of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln would like a word) is the Malignant Fascist's mouth once again writing checks that he can't cash.

"ECONOMIC D-DAY" -- what genius came up with that bit of bombast?  He won't get any allies with any sack to step into his self-made quagmire.  And you know who the biggest supporters of the Iran regime are?  His besties in Russia and North Korea.  We seriously doubt he intends any "TREMENDOUS Economic Consequences" for his mentor or his love letter correspondent.

But, anyway, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER" (so you won't be paying attention to the economy, Epstein files, corruption, ICE assaults, election subversion, etc., etc.).

President Donald Trump is reportedly yelling louder, for longer periods and acting significantly "meaner" toward his inner circle, driving a wave of recent high-profile White House departures.

According to insider reports detailed on "The Daily Beast Podcast," multiple senior officials are exiting the administration due to a toxic, increasingly hostile West Wing environment.  [Ed.: very sad!]

The reporting coincides with a series of major staff exits at the White House.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced she will step down at the end of August. While she publicly cited a desire to spend time with her family, insiders indicate the intense internal pressure and Trump's sharpening temperament heavily influenced the timing.

White House Counsel David Warrington departed his post amidst the shifting operational environment.

Deputy National Security Advisor Andy Baker, a key ally of Vice President J.D. Vance, has also exited the administration.

"It's a clear sign that people see how badly this second term is going," said David Rhode, senior executive editor on national security for MS NOW on Monday, August 17.

While Trump has historically been known for an aggressive management style, sources close to the administration note a distinct shift in his behavioral patterns during his current term.

Insiders report that his pattern of blaming staff for self-inflicted political problems has left top aides completely burned out, with some describing the daily work environment as "total misery."  [Ed.:  very very sad!]

The White House and Trump allies have generally pushed back on these characterizations, framing staff turnover as typical for a high-pressure administration or a natural rotation ahead of the midterm elections.  [snip]

Multiple former aides, including former White House lawyer Ty Cobb, have publicly stated that Trump's cognitive and behavioral shifts are "palpable," pointing to an escalation in his volatile outbursts.

We should note that his Chief of Staff Natalie Harp Susie Wiles is departing soon after the November mid-term blue tsunami, doubtless to dodge the flying ketchup.  We expect by the time next January rolls around, the concept of "total misery" will have to be re-defined by those remaining in the Malignant Fascist's orbit.  Maybe his new Chief of Staff/ co-President Natalie will be available to empty his fecal extrusion device.

The sub-moron troll to whom 49.8 percent of voters in 2024 gave control over America's nuclear weapons is re-iterating his asinine threat to make the Strait of Hormuz a U.S. Territory this morning in an official U.S. Government statement on his failed social media platform:

When a dolt like the Malignant Fascist makes a risible but dangerously deranged threat like this, it reflects on America and our fast- declining position as a stable, serious nation, a reflection that's already having serious ramifications for our alliances.  He might think he's playing a clever game of power diplomacy, but (to use his formulation) he's not holding a winning hand (nor is he playing with a full deck, as the saying goes).

What a world-historic catastrophe for our country.

Last night, the demented, incompetent Malignant Fascist (a.k.a., Moron Metternich) issued another puerile statement (with the usual random Capitalizations, bombastic bullshit, and of course "Thank you for your attention to this matter!") claiming he was holding off on striking Iran, not because American munitions are depleted or because he was warned by his Saudi business partners not to, but because the perimeters of a concept of an outline of a chimera of a Deal was in the works and Iran asked him to.  Sure, Jan!

How many times since the MF launched his war of choice against Iran have we heard this bullshit?  

"Locked and loaded" my ass!  His own Pentagon has said we're low on the munitions being used against Iran.  The only thing that's loaded is "Whiskey Pete" Hegseth.

"Perimeters of a deal" my ass!  There's no indication Iran is budging on its intent to control the Strait of Hormuz or give up its nuclear program. 

"The country of Israel joins me in this commitment" my ass.  Israel (Bibi) wants regime change in Iran, and the last thing it wants a "successful and prosperous Iran."

We think a group of Model UN students could have done a more competent job of negotiating an agreement by now than the Kushner-Witkoff real estate team in whom the MF put his trust.  And, speaking of trust, what country in the world trusts the MF's (and therefore, America's) word on anything?  That could also be said of his fracturing MAGAt base -- the audience for these moronic "Truths" -- who've seen his constant lies blow up in their faces time and time again.

The timing of these supposed cease-fires also seems to always coincide with calming the stock market for Monday's opening bell.  Surely a coincidence!

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that Washington’s ceasefire with Tehran is over, after hostilities between the two sides escalated overnight.

During a joint press conference with NATO chief Mark Rutte at the military alliance’s summit in Ankara, Turkey, on Wednesday, Trump said, “I think it’s over” in response to a reporter’s question.

“I don’t want to deal with them anymore … as far as I’m concerned, it’s over,” he added.

He added that Washington’s delegation wanted to negotiate a peace deal, but that he saw it as “a waste of time dealing with” the Iranian side.

Trump’s comments came after the U.S. and Iran accused each other of violating a ceasefire that was reached last month, in the wake of fresh strikes.

The U.S. military conducted a “series of powerful strikes” against Iran in retaliation for three commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz coming under attack on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Treasury Department withdrew a waiver that had allowed Iran to sell its oil.

Oil prices rose dramatically after Trump spoke, with global benchmark Brent crude

futures for September delivery jumping 5.7% to trade at around $78.41 per barrel. U.S. West Texas Intermediate futures added 5.9% to settle at $74.60 a barrel.

The unstable, ignorant MF owns this mess, lock, stock, and oil barrel.  The U.S. and its allies are far worse off economically and strategically than before the moron was talked into attacking Iran by Netanyahu.  Iran holds the Strait of Hormuz cards and has increased its position vis-à-vis its neighbors and its ability to affect global economic stability.  Meanwhile, we have a puerile pinball President bouncing from one bumper to another.

Trade with Spain (EU)

"We no longer want to do any kind of business with Spain. I would like that to stop. Spain is a terrible partner in NATO. They don't pull their weight, they don't pay. I don't want anything to do with Spain. Cut off all trade with Spain, please, including visits," Donald Trump declared at a joint press conference after the NATO meeting in Ankara on Wednesday.

The US president's remarks stand in stark contrast to the way the European Union's trade policy works. Since the creation of the single market in 1993, tariffs, trade agreements and other measures in this area have been an exclusive EU competence, exercised through the European Commission.

Any measure targeting one of the 27 member states would have repercussions for the single market as a whole and could trigger a coordinated response from Brussels.

Trade flows between two of these countries are not even considered exports, but rather "intra-EU supplies". This interconnectedness also means that oranges grown in Valencia can be processed in another European country before being shipped to the US, so a unilateral move against Spain would create major practical and legal difficulties.

"The US federal government knows how the EU's trade relations are managed and is not interested in breaking off trade ties," replied Teresa Ribera, the EU competition chief and former minister in Pedro Sánchez's government, last March, when asked about the issue after Trump once again threatened Spain.

Sounds again like an childish, policy-by-the-seat-of-his-clown-pants hollow threat.  Someone other than the  lap dogs Scott "Smirker" Bessent or Howard "Nutlick" Lutnick should tell him the limits of trying to punish one member of the EU in isolation.  As a sanction, it won't work, but as another distraction ...

We weren't sure if it was an authentic "Truth" since it doesn't end with "Thank you for your attention to this matter."  But the fact that he waited until the stock markets were closed before he ordered the strikes and tapped out this communique would indicate it was indeed Sir Liesalot's ham-fisted, mob boss-style "diplomacy" at work.

For someone who says he's holding "all the cards," he sure seems to be getting jerked around a lot.

A "Reality Check" For Dementia Don?

The president was invited to GOP senators’ Wednesday lunch to push for his No. 1 priority, the GOP election bill known as the SAVE America Act. But several outgoing Republicans who have clashed with Trump said Monday they will be there to deliver a reality check: The bill isn’t passing, and it’s time to move on.

“I’m going to be there front and center,” Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) told reporters. “It will be important if it actually is a constructive exchange of different opinions, and hopefully we can all get on the same page. Right now, we’re not in a great place.”

Cornyn, who recently lost his bid for a fifth term to a Trump-endorsed challenger, reiterated the votes just aren’t there to pass the elections bill: “I’ve been around here long enough and been through enough battles and counted enough votes to know that it doesn’t just magically occur, no matter how much you wish it would happen.”

Sens. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) — who are also departing the Senate in part due to Trump — said Monday they, too, will be at the closed-door lunch and urged Trump to turn the page on the SAVE America Act.

“I’m a co-sponsor, but it doesn’t have the votes, and so it’s time to talk about something else,” said Cassidy, who also lost to a Trump-backed primary opponent...

Too bad it took the Malignant Fascist backstabbing incumbent Republican Senators and generally running roughshod over Congress to get to the point where these spineless Quislings are exerting even this modicum of resistance to the MF's anti-American, anti-democracy efforts.  Stopping the abomination called the "SAVE America (for white Republicans) Act" won't put an end to the MF and his fascistic toadies' ongoing efforts to rig the 2026 mid-terms and the 2028 election, a battle that's currently being waged mostly in the courts over voter rolls.  But it would be a considerable blow to their plans.

I would like to believe that, if Trump had posted something this completely unhinged a few weeks into his first presidency, when when the elite media were still breathlessly waiting for and then announcing on various occasions that this was the day on which he had become president, aka stopped being the Donald Trump everyone had been observing for several decades, it would have produced some sort of shocked reaction from those very same people, instead of what it produces now ... exactly nothing.

What we are seeing here is the ongoing cumulative radicalization of the Trump regime, which in turn is being met by something close to total denial by almost all of the American establishment, because the alternative would be to acknowledge what is actually happening in this country now. Psychiatrists: Trump A Danger And Unfit For Office

 

In an alarming and urgent open letter, thirty-six mental health experts stated that the unhinged Malignant Fascist is "mentally unstable" and an existential threat to U.S. security.  The letter, entitled "Medical Concerns about President Donald J. Trump and His Fitness for Office," lists several clear signs of dangerous mental decline and delusion, including disorganized and tangential speech, grandiose and delusional beliefs (including assertions of infallibility), severely impaired judgement and impulse control, significant loss of self control, and escalating violence.  The letter states:

"Prior to the presidential election in the Fall of 2024, a statement assessing Donald J. Trump’s mental fitness for the presidency was issued. At that time, serious signs of cognitive decline were identified, and in our expert opinion, these signs warranted disqualification from office. It is our professional opinion, based on previous and ongoing assessments, that Donald Trump’s mental state since our 2024 statement has deteriorated even further. [snip]

It is our professional opinion that the behaviors of Donald Trump, tragically, are neither momentary lapses nor political theater. It is our professional opinion that they reflect a rapidly worsening, reality-untethered, increasingly dangerous decline. If we were called upon under the 25th Amendment to judge the President’s present ability to discharge the duties of his office, we would have to conclude that he lacks the capacity to do so.

For the reasons cited above, emphasizing that he presents a clear and present danger to our country and to the world, it is our expert opinion that Donald J. Trump is mentally unfit to be the President of the United States, and that steps to remove him from office must be undertaken with the greatest urgency, with vital responsibilities on the shoulders of those in positions of leadership." Rhode Island Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed entered the letter into the Congressional Record last week, with a press release following on May 5.  Corporate media has an obligation to cover this matter, given the MF's constant bragging about "acing" his dementia screenings and the signs listed above by the mental health experts, but it's unlikely that they will.

On sundowning Caudillo Cankles's remarks at his authoritarian-heavy "Board of Peace" meeting yesterday:

The summit came as Trump threatens war against Iran. He used the meeting to reveal that he’ll decide whether to attack the county within the next 10 days amid attempts to get a deal limiting Iran’s nuclear program.

War and peace weren’t the only things on Trump’s mind as he lurched from one random subject to another.

Pivoting to party politics, Trump fixated on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her comments at last week’s Munich Security Conference.

He called Ocasio-Cortez an “attractive woman” who was “unable to answer questions,” a reference to apparent errors the congresswoman made that have become a [right-wing] media talking point.  [snip]

In another deviation where he seized on someone’s appearance, Trump praised the looks of the Paraguayan president while mispronouncing his name and then backpedaled, apparently fearing people might think he was attracted to men.

“President Pena of Paraguay is here,” Trump said, mispronouncing Peña. “President?” he asked, looking around the room to find Peña. “President, thank you very much.”

“Young, handsome guy. It’s always nice to be young and handsome. Doesn’t mean we have to like you. I don’t like young, handsome men. Women I like. Men... no, I don’t have any interest.” [Ed., not very secure in your sexuality, eh?]

The platform also gave him the chance to again air his grievance about missing out on the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize.

Thanking FIFA President Gianni Infantino, present at the meeting, for the peace prize that his soccer team awarded to him, Trump said: “I got screwed by Norway.” [Ed., of course, Norway doesn't award the prize.]

On his biggest distraction yet from the Epstein-Trump files:

President Donald Trump has put the United States on the verge of war against Iran with the goal of ending that nation’s nuclear weapons program, less than eight months after proclaiming he had “completely and totally obliterated” that same program.  [snip]

Trump told reporters on Air Force One Thursday that Iran had to “make a deal” in the coming days. “I would think that would be enough time: 10-15 days. Pretty much maximum,” he said on his way to a rally in Georgia.

That language is nearly identical to what he said on June 19, 2025: Iran had to make an agreement to abandon its nuclear program “within the next two weeks.” Trump, though, ordered the military to hit three weapons sites in Iran after just two days.

Eight months later, Trump has not explained why a second attack on Iran is necessary now if the country’s nuclear weapons program was, in fact, destroyed by his air strike last year.  [Ed., it's necessary to get the Epstein-Trump files out of the news, Sherlock]

On his epic bravery deserving of the Medal of Honor:

Donald Trump has suggested changing the law so he can give himself the Congressional Medal of Honor, bragging about his bravery in the same breath he mused about soldiers who lost their limbs in war.

In a meandering speech in Georgia on Thursday, the draft-dodging president recounted trying to give himself the medal after visiting Iraq in his first term but was talked out of it by his advisers.

“I’ve given out so many to guys that are seriously brave—I mean, they come in with—the arms are missing, the legs are missing, the stories are so unbelievable,“ Trump said. ”And I said: it’s a little stretch if I gave myself one of them.”

He added: “But it’s one of those things—someday I’m going to try."

The Medal of Honor is the highest and most prestigious military decoration awarded by the United States government for service members who risk their lives or go beyond the call of duty in war.

Trump, who never served in the military and was granted five draft deferments, would therefore not be eligible.

Nonetheless, the 79-year-old president told the crowd, “I flew to Iraq and was extremely brave. In fact, so brave I wanted to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor. I said to my people: am I allowed to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor?” 

After recounting the medals he’d given out to amputees and acknowledging it would be a “stretch” to award himself, Trump didn’t rule out the possibility.

“I’m going to test the law, I’m going to say… let’s give it a shot. Maybe I’ll win in court after everyone sues me.”

On his endless thirst for attention infecting the totally compromised "Justice" Department:

A large banner of Donald Trump was hung outside of the Justice Department headquarters in Washington, DC, on Thursday, emphasizing the White House’s control over the nation’s top law enforcement branch that once pursued criminal prosecutions against the president.

The image of Trump in shades of blue is a remarkable addition to the storied Robert F. Kennedy Department of Justice Building, which is occupied by a department that traditionally has made painstaking efforts to separate itself from politics.

Since Trump retook office last year, the Justice Department has faced repeated accusations of targeting the president’s perceived enemies on his behalf. Those prosecutions include that of former FBI Director James Comey, New York Attorney General and Letitia James, as well as investigations into Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell and several Democratic representatives who recorded a video urging service members to disobey any illegal orders.

Similar banners of Trump’s face have been draped across other federal departments including the Department of Labor and the Department of Agriculture, each with their own text: “American workers first” and “growing America,” respectively.

This is his "argument" for the "SAVE (Trump and Republicans) Act that just passed the House on a party-line vote.  The Senate, unless the Malignant Fascist's toadies nuke the filibuster, is not likely to pass it, triggering the MF's threat to do with an Executive Order what can only be accomplished by law. It's also his desperate attempt to cow his own Republican Supreme Court into preserving his punitive tariffs, which American consumers are paying for with higher prices.

Trump Tries Extorting Democrats To Put His Name On More Buildings

 

The lawless Malignant Fascist's latest narcissistic extortion attempt may end up costing commuters in New York and New Jersey:

Trump administration officials made it known to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer that the president would release federal funds for a massive rail tunnel project connecting New York and New Jersey on the condition that two major travel hubs be renamed in his honor, according to three people with knowledge of the request.

The three people, granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive negotiation, said President Donald Trump would agree to release the funding for the Gateway project, which has been held up since October — but that his ask was that both Washington-Dulles International Airport outside Washington, and Pennsylvania Station in New York City, be renamed for the president.

Schumer declined the offer, according to two people with knowledge of the request. “There was nothing to trade,” said a person close to Schumer. “The president stopped the funding and he can restart the funding with a snap of his fingers.”

The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

The Trump administration has withheld billions in federal funding for the $16 billion project, arguing it is conducting a review into whether diversity, equity and inclusion practices had played a factor in awarding contracts for the job. Since that decision, Transportation Secretary Duffy and Trump have given conflicting public statements on the status of Gateway.

When completed, the project would expand the number of rail tunnels between New York City and New Jersey under the Hudson River.

The end of the Gateway tunnel project could put roughly 1,000 workers out of a job. A judge is expected to hear an emergency order to restart the federal funding Friday.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), in a statement Thursday evening, called Trump’s ask “ridiculous.”

“These naming rights aren’t tradable as part of any negotiations, and neither is the dignity of New Yorkers,” she said. “At a time when New Yorkers are already being crushed by high costs under the Trump tariffs, the president continues to put his own narcissism over the good-paying union jobs this project provides and the extraordinary economic impact the Gateway tunnel will bring.”

He's clearly ... not well?  A puerile toddler?  Demented?  A malignant narcissist?  Insane?  All of the preceding?  Well, one thing for certain:  when you engage in extortion, you're committing a felony (something the State of New York already convicted the MF of -- 34 times).  Sadly, he has a "get out of jail free" card courtesy of corrupt Republican-in-robes John Roberts.

The States of New York and New Jersey have sued the gangster regime to release the already- appropriated funds.  But when you're a lawless tyrant-in-the-making, you likely don't feel bound by any courts.
