Mid-Week Song: Can I Believe You

The Grammy-nominated indie folk band Fleet Foxes released their fourth studio album "Shore" last month to very positive reviews. Our choice today is a song from that album, "Can I Believe You." The video offers some strong interpretive dancing from Jade-Lorna Sullivan and Jean Charles. Enjoy.

Seattle- based indie rock group Fleet Foxes released their third studio album and their first release in six years, "Crack-Up," nearly two months ago. This song, "- Naiads, Cassadies," has the tone and feel of a song David Crosby might have written for CSNY or The Byrds (we're thinking of "Triad" here). We hope you enjoy.

Seattle's Fleet Foxes have a brand new album about to come out, Crack-Up, their first release in three years;  it contains our musical selection today, "If You Need To, Keep Time On Me." Fleet Foxes Resurface: Mid-Week Song

Popular indie folk rock band Fleet Foxes last released an album six years ago, so the announcement that they were working on a new, third album was well received. The album, "Crack Up", will be released on June 16, and yesterday the band released the first single off that album, the nearly 9 minute-long multi-part, multi-genre opus "Third of May / Ōdaigahara." (Mount Ōdaigahara is a mountain in the Daikō Mountain Range of Japan and a designated Man and the Biosphere Preserve by UNESCO).

Seattle folk rock/ indie group Fleet Foxes has a sound that, at times, reminds us of the 60's British duo The Incredible String Band (check them out on You Tube).  This is a purely instrumental selection called "The Cascades," no doubt referencing the beautiful coastal mountains in their neck of the woods.  Enjoy the song and your weekend.
