It's All About Mittens Quote of the Day

Failed Presidential candidate and lord high priest of hair gel Willard "Lord Mittens" Romney was bemoaning his bad luck yesterday when he said,
"I wish the hurricane [Sandy] hadn't happened when it did because it gave the President a chance to be presidential and to be out showing sympathy for folks.... But you know, you don't look back and worry about each little thing and how could that have been different. You look forward."
Gosh darn it, what lousy extreme weather timing for Lord Mittens (oh yeah, and the victims, too)!  Lord Mittens wanted to pretend to show "sympathy for folks" (the 47% no doubt), but that Negro fellow got in the way.  What rotten luck!  But it's good that Lord Mittens is not worrying about "each little thing" (i.e., Hurricane Sandy and billions in damage).  He's looking forward to bouncing from his beachfront mansion in La Jolla to his lakeside mansion in New Hampshire to his Boston mansion to...well, he'll be doing a lot of bouncing from here out with his gazillions from his vulture capital career, where he did some pretty good damage, too.

The Not-President's Transition

Wonkette has a hilarious item about a web page that Willard "Not-President" Romney's team launched for his "transition" to the Presidency. [pause, please] BWAHAHAHA!!

From their polling to their baseless confidence, the delusion among Not-President Romney's team was so pervasive and deep that they had the arrogance to assume he'd be elected and needed to start recruiting people for his administration before the election. Check out the advisory at the bottom of the job application instructions, noting that financial disclosure is required for most positions (ed. -- except Not-President Romney, of course). [pause, please] BWAHAHAHA!!

Smug Plutocrat Quote of the Day

"The one thing nobody can ever say now is that they didn't know the exact character of Willard Romney, and exactly how he feels about The Help, including that member of The Help who currently holds the job that Romney believes should have been his by virtue of his god-kissed, golden life.
'You'll get your chance in a moment. I'm still speaking.'
Put all those Romneys together and that's what they sound like, even when they're talking to the president of the United States. It's the voice of the bloodless job-killer, the outsourcing Moloch of the industrial midwest, and the guy who poses with his Wall Street cronies with dollar bills in his mouth. People who claim to be interested in 'character' should remember that." -- Esquire's estimable Charles P. Pierce on the smug, arrogant cyborg known as Willard "Binders Full of Women" Romney's debate performance, which revealed Willard's numerous character issues. Read his whole article.

Quotes of the Day

Why We Call Them Rethugs Div.:
"First of all, from what I understand from doctors [pregnancy from rape] is really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” -- Missouri Teatard/ Rethuglican Senate candidate Rep. Todd "My Ass Is About To Be" Akin, to KTVI-TV in an interview posted Sunday. This is the kumquat the Rethugs want to send to the Senate to write laws governing women's health issues.

Why We're Proud to be Democrats Div.:
"Governor Romney’s is a sort of guy, David, that you’d never want to play pickup basketball with. He’s always fouling and he’s always crying foul." -- our Gov. Martin O'Malley (D-MD) to Dancin' Dave Gregory on Press the Meat today perfectly describing the entitled prick's attitude toward criticism.

UPDATE: The kumquat's views aren't out of what passes for the Rethuglican "mainstream," it turns out. Last year, he and fellow gynecologist Rep. Paul "Forcible Rape" Ryan sponsored legislation to re-define rape.
