Gov. Who? A John Bircher?

The John Birch Society, one of the oldest extreme right organizations in the country, was famous once for calling World War II hero and President Dwight Eisenhower a communist. They've supported militia groups that have gone up against law enforcement, and are even rejected by mainstream Rethuglicans. That's how far on the lunatic right they are. Now, Firedoglake and Politico have stories about Gov. Who?'s possible link to the Birchers. It makes sense that she would have links. "First Dude" Todd was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party until 2002, a rabid right wing group that condemns "American institutions" and wants to secede from the U.S.

And she could be a heartbeat away.
