The Penultimate Colbert Show With Andrés And Springsteen

Last night's penultimate "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" had Stephen covering the grifty Trump mobile phone, Trump's update on the war in Iran and his revealing remarks about Melon,  TSA's "chickens on a plane," and a well-deserved gift from Late Show viewers to Chef José AndrésBruce Springsteen was also there to perfome "Streets of Minneapolis" and offer some choice comments about Malignant Fascist Trump and the Ellisons.  Doesn't get better.

"Insurrectionists Hit The Jackpot"

We're going to miss this so much.  Another gem from Stephen Colbert as he closes out his "Late Show" this week.  The $1.8 billion taxpayer funded slush fund for January 6 insurrectionists and other MAGAt losers, the shambolic on-again off-again war on Iran, and the other would-be taxpayer-funded Golden Ballroom were some of the topics last night.

BONUS:  Here's Jon Stewart from an extended interview with Colbert:

“I mean this from the bottom of my heart, not just for this show, but for the country. The day, the day, oh people, close your eyes and dream. The day that the electorate in this great nation we call home repudiates this putrid administration. The day that that happens, my brother. My brother. There will be, and I mean this, the day that that happens, there will be a joyful noise from the bowels of this great country that will make Hungary’s repudiation of Orban look like an Amish Sabbath. And it’s going to come. We are tired. We are tired.”

"The Worst Of The Late Show"

As Stephen Colbert enters the last week of his glorious 11-year "Late Show" run, he decided to show all the worst bits that didn't make it onto air for whatever reason.  Here's his introduction to the show;  the full extended episode (an hour and 10 minutes) is here.

Handshakes, Dumb Takes, Things Break

Last night, the soon-to-be-gone-but-not-forgotten Stephen Colbert had hilarious takes about the Malignant Fascist's visit to China, Xi's dominance handshake with the MF's "five-day-old banana hand," CBS News' China trip fail, Chinese robots, the unexpected effects of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, and more.  Also, catch David Letterman's guest appearances during the show here, here, and here (the last segment involving "the wanton destruction of CBS property," something many of us have fantasized about in the past year).

Very Simple Man, Very Simple Plan

Stephen Colbert covered the Malignant Fascist's "very simple" plan to end the war with Iran (a.k.a. "Operation Epic Epstein Fury/ Project Freedom from my Quagmire"), the MF's "re-posterbating" and "recreational idolatry," former reality show participant and now Secretary of Transportation Sean "Was There Another Airport Near Miss?" Duffy's new on-the-job reality show (and shows that other Cabinet members could host), and the government's alien files (hey, how about the Epstein files?).  Also, check out the "Strike Force Five" (Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver, and Seth Meyers) appearance later on the show.

Bamboozles, Ballrooms, And Oven Baked Red Snapper

As promised earlier this week, we're honoring Stephen Colbert's soon-to-be-legacy by regularly featuring his last "Late Night" show monologues until his last show on May 21.  Last night, he quipped about the latest Iran war "peace deal" that the Malignant Fascist continually bamboozles gullible media and Wall Street about, the $1 billion Republicans want taxpayers to pay for the Malignant Fascist's Golden Ballroom/ bunker, and the many bizarre and harmful decisions being made by "oven baked red snapper" HHS Secretary and family disgrace Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.'s., Food and Drug Administration, and more.

"CARNITAS" Trump

As the Ellison's shutdown clock continues for Stephen Colbert's last "Late Show" (it'll be on Thursday, May 21), we're going to continue to put him in "heavy rotation" (as the radio djs say).  ICYMI, last night, he covered new Star Wars merchandising, the "cards" the Malignant Fascist is holding on Iran, the meanings of "NACHO" and "CARNITAS," Spirit Airlines shutting down and a United Airlines plane touching down, and more.

Trump's "12-Dimensional Chess" (And A SCOTUS Checkmate?)

ICYMI, Stephen Colbert talked about the Malignant Fascist's "12-dimensional chess" on display in his Operation Epic Epstein Fury, the MF's humiliating appearance at the SCOTUS' hearing of arguments on his bogus birthright citizenship executive order, the Artemis II mission, and more.

"Throne Out"

ICYMI, Stephen Colbert was back last night with a review of the massive "No Kings" protests (plus more great signs and one particular balloon), ICE airport "help," the Operation Epic Epstein Fury folly and our simpleton wartime "leader," and a looming helium supply problem.

"A Dark Speech Filled With Divisive Lies"

ICYMI (we did), Stephen Colbert gives us a summary of last night's State of the Union lie fest, so we don't have to waste your time and ours with any further psycho-analysis.

BONUS It was, as the folks at CNN fact checked, a lie fest.  Or you could go with NPR, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, NBC News, ABC News, The New York Times or Politifact.

A Pope, A Corrupt Racist, A Grifter From The Carnival

No, they don't walk into a bar.  It's just Stephen Colbert, coming off his confrontation with CBS/Paramount over their spiking an interview with Texas Senatorial candidate Democratic State Rep. James Talarico earlier this week (which Colbert then posted on YouTube and got 7.4 million views), noting the Pope's declining to be on the Malignant Fascist's "Board of Peace," the MF's shocking poll numbers, the RFK, Jr. / Kid Rockhead cringe workout video, and a monkey update. The news, once again, writes the jokes.

"Melania" Is Not A Documentary!

We need to get one more pass at the Bezos bribe bomb called "Melania," especially through the eyes of Stephen Colbert and the super-talented Laura Benanti as the "fil-m" star.  This is from the Wednesday night show, but it's one of the funniest bits with Benanti's impression of the Slovenian immigrant that she's done, so we wanted to make sure we posted it.

One Exhausting Year

ICYMI, last night Stephen Colbert talked about the exhausting year we've experienced since the Malignant Fascist's inauguration, the MF's sundowning press conference, his threats to impose new tariffs if allies don't agree to his seizing Greenland ("Give us Greenland, or ... we'll punch ourselves in the balls so hard!!"), and more.   The tragedy, of course, is that none of this needed to happen.

"Donward Spiral"

ICYMI, last night Stephen Colbert covered the fading Malignant Fascist's holiday cash grab, his golden ballroom, his MRI test ("I did so well on the cognitive, they put me in the extra credit tube"), Whiskey Pete Hegseth's war crimes, other incompetent members of his criminal clown regime, and more.

"Sign Of The Crimes"

Stephen Colbert looks back at the past few days' events, including the vote on the Epstein-Trump files release, the dinner thrown for murdering tyrant Mohammed bin "Bone Saw" Salman, the Texas Republican gerrymander fail, reports of Brainworm's illegal and dangerous drug dabbling, and more.

Crumbling Democrats And Rip Van Cankle

Stephen Colbert lasered in on the events of the last few days, from the 8 cavers on the ACA subsidies extension, to the Malignant Fascist's latest Mar-a-Lardo extravaganza, to the response to the MF at the Washington Commanders game, to his sundowning at meetings, and more.   Great satire, as usual.

"The Biggest Loser"

We has a hard time choosing, so you get both:  Stephen Colbert reacts to Tuesday's big Democratic election sweep from a somewhat New York City perspective, while Jimmy Kimmel does the same from a somewhat California perspective.  Both somewhat hilarious.

Trick Or Treating Trump

We got a nice news wrap of the last few days from Stephen Colbert:  the Malignant Fascist's back in the U.S. "after collecting treats in Asia," an MF message suggesting he might need another cognitive test, the MF's inane "negotiation" with China that took us back to where we were 9 months ago (after all the economic pain and uncertainty of those last 9 months), FBI loon Kash "No Credit" Patel's expensive date at taxpayer expense, and more.

Trump's Ego Trip To Asia

Stephen Colbert cuts through the "showmanship" (the ass-kissing New York Effing Times) and gives us the reality of a mentally and physically impaired fascist doofus who was elected to represent the United States to the world, currently on tour in Asia.  Special appearance by multi-millionaire soybean farmer Scott Bessent, who apparently plays a wooden Treasury Secretary in his spare time. (P.S., the audience should have been clued in that the new Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, the first woman to hold that position, is a far- right winger who admires the Malignant Fascist.  Gender isn't determinative of a good person, see Noem, Kristi;  Bondi, Pam.)

For additional doses of reality, check out Jimmy Kimmel's monologue, with bonus Christmas jingle at the end.

The No Kings "Reign Check," And Melania Materializes

Stephen Colbert covers the "No Kings" protests and the fascist MAGAt attempts to smear them, the Malignant Fascist's response ("King Trump crapping on America," "insane, but factually accurate"), and the MF's commutation of fellow Republican felon George Santos' sentence.  Ah, the banality of evil.  Later, "Melania Trump" (the great Laura Benanti) makes an appearance.
