Weekend Music

Our weekend music comes courtesy of a collaboration between Aussie Courtney Barnett and Alabama native Waxahatchee (Kathryn Crutchfield).  This is "Site Unseen" from Barnett's upcoming album "Creature of Habit."  Hope you enjoy.

Weekend Music

We've featured Katie Crutchfield's indie project Waxahatchee in the past, and with her new album "Tigers Blood" coming out in a month, it's a good time to feature a single off that work, "Bored." Hope you enjoy (you shouldn't get bored).

Weekend Music Twofer

Katie Crutchfield, the singer/ songwriter fueling her indie music project Waxahatchee, just released "Saint Cloud," an album written largely about her decision to get sober.  Our first song is from that album, the lovely "Can't Do Much."

The second song we're featuring is a Rodgers and Hammerstein song from the musical "Carousel," that will be familiar to anyone who has seen the finale of a muscular dystrophy telethon.  British- American Marcus Mumford, lead singer of Mumford & Sons, released "You'll Never Walk Alone" as a charity single (benefitting War Child UK and The Grenfell Foundation) and also as "a comfort" to everyone going through these times.
