Weekend Music Twofer

We're doing a twofer this week, starting off with a group we've featured in the past from Cincinnati, Ohio: Wussy.  We're playing a song from their 2014 album, "Strawberry," called "Waiting Room."

Also, fifty years ago (!) this week, "Woodstock: Music From The Original Soundtrack And More" was released as a 6-side album that covered most of the artists who played at the iconic festival the prior summer.  "Wooden Ships" by Crosby, Stills and Nash is one of the live performances (with Neil Young joining in), though we're choosing to go with the CSN album version released in 1969.  (The song was also released by Jefferson Airplane, as Paul Kantner provided lyrics, along with Stephen Stills, for composer David Crosby.)  Hope you enjoy.

Weekend Song

This song comes to us from a recent album ("Attica!") by Cincinnati indie group Wussy.  It features the vocals of chanteuse Lisa Walker, who started the band with former Ass Ponys (bonus points!) guitarist Chuck Cleaver.  This is "North Sea Girls."  Enjoy the song and your weekend.  (Hat tip to Silver Spring Bureau Chief Brian)
