Bad "Christians:" Graham And Cracker

Let's catch up with two of the "Godly" simpletons to whom the Republican/ New Confederate/ Stupid party panders.  Here's bad seed of Rev. Billy Graham, "Rev." Franklin Graham:

Upset that Wells Fargo is running an ad which includes the story of a lesbian couple learning sign language before adopting a child who is deaf, Franklin Graham announced last week that the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will no longer do business with the bank.
Graham spoke with Craig James of the Family Research Council, which is cheering on Graham’s announcement, on yesterday’s edition of “Washington Watch,” where he explained that he will be switching to BB&T, another North Carolina-based bank.

Franklin Graham is very upset with Wells Fargo after they used an LGBT couple in one of their advertisements. So upset, in fact, that he has cited the bank’s promotion of a “godless lifestyle” by pulling all of his money out of the organization and moving it to a more Godly bank: BB&T.

That would be the same BB&T that sponsors the Miami Beach gay pride parade, along with a “Legacy Couples” program, which celebrates LGBT couples that have been together for at least ten years.

We know of a stump in the woods that the "Rev." could use to stash his money once he discovers that banks that discriminate against LGBT people, unlike pharisee evangelists, aren't going to be in business very long.

On a less risible note, how about that withered gargoyle and former candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, "Rev." Pat Robertson:

On his 700 Club television show, the right-wing televangelist (and son of a segregationist) was asked why God would allow a helpless infant to die in the hospital.

His response? God willed it, because maybe your child would have grown up to be the next Hitler.

Telebangelist and life-long ass biscuit "Rev." Pat Robertson would like his simple-minded viewers to believe he has a direct line to God. It makes it a little easier for him to shake them down for donations if they think he's got the God mojo. But, Pat, God doesn't speak to you! He speaks to me, and here's what he said, and I quote: "Pat, if you don't stop scamming those old people who believe in you, using my name in vain by the way, I'm going to have to downgrade your accommodations in Hell from your current booking in the Father Coughlin suite to the Torquemada suite! And by the way, Beelzebub called -- he'd like his ears back!"

"The Talibangelist Times?"

Talibangelist squirrel Pat Robertson is reportedly considering making an offer to buy the Virginian-Pilot newspaper. Robertson, who has endorsed Rudy Toot Tooty for preznit (how's that coming along, Pat?), apparently has enough cash from his easily-led 700 Club flock to make the bid for the Virginian-Pilot, whose worth is unknown but has a 186,000 circulation in Tidewater Virginia. Reportedly, Robertson had problems with the newspaper in the past for delving into his shady business dealings and operations of his fundamentalist Regent University. If he succeeds in his quest, expect to see the likes of this and that in the editorial pages.

Known By The Company You Keep

The day after receiving the "blessing" of crackpot talibangelist Diamond Pat Robertson, Rudy Toot Tooty Giuliani's former protege, Bernard Kerik, is expected to be indicted by a Federal grand jury on tax evasion and other charges. Kerik, whom Giuliani recommended to Dumbya as Homeland Security Secretary, is a former NYC police commissioner and Giuliani gofer who shares Rudy Toot Tooty's penchant for extra-marital affairs.

Rudy is currently polling a statistical dead heat with Hillary Clinton (45 to 46 percent, respectively). When a larger number of Americans remove their heads from their asses and start paying attention, one would think (hope?) the associations Rudy has had, and continues to cultivate, would cast some doubt over the man's judgment and ethical underpinnings.

UPDATE: Kerik has been indicted on tax evasion and corruption charges. Maybe Rudy Toot Tooty can get his new American Taliban friend Pat Robertson to say a little prayer for him.
