Mid-Week Song: Salt Water

Award-winning British singer / songwriter Ed Sheeran, fresh from successfully defending himself from a frivolous copyright suit, has a new album out, - (Subtract).  It follows his three highly popular, math symbol-entitled albums + (Plus), x (Multiply), and ÷ (Divide).  Today's song selection from his new album is the haunting and beautiful "Salt Water."

Mid-Week Song

British singer / songwriter Ed Sheeran released a new single just before Christmas entitled "Afterglow," another in a long line of lovely, romantic and lyrical compositions of his. Enjoy.

"We were love drunk waiting on a miracle

Trying to find ourselves in the winter snow

So alone in love like the world had disappeared

Oh I won’t be silent and I won’t let go

I will hold on tighter ‘til the afterglow

And we’ll burn so bright ‘til the darkness softly clears."

Mid-Week Thinking Song

British singer-songwriter (and apparently a good dancer) Ed Sheeran released his latest album, "X", last summer, and already has three singles from that album that have gone platinum, one of which is the lovely "Thinking Out Loud."  Enjoy.

Mid-Week Sheeran Song

British singer Ed Sheeran's great songwriting and beautiful voice have made him an international favorite.  Here he is performing "Lego House" from his debut album, released in November 2011.

Mid-Week Song

British singer Ed Sheeran had a worldwide hit with his song "The A Team," about a girl who descends into crack use and streetwalking (the song's title alludes to crack's categorization as a "class A drug"). The song is up for a 2013 Grammy Award for Song of the Year, and has won numerous awards. Sheeran himself appears in a cameo (at 1:20) in this video which was shot in stark black and white in and around London.
