Trump's Impending Defeat In Georgia

The next major Republican / Great Replacement Party primary is Tuesday in Georgia, with several candidates running, most prominently for governor. Incumbent Gov. Brian Kemp, who earned the Malignant Loser's undying enmity for certifying the 2020 election, is facing off against former Senator and Big Lie liar David "Per-don't" Perdue, who was defeated that year by Dem Sen. Jon Ossoff.  The Malignant Loser has been railing against Kemp for not cheating and overturning the results, and campaigning for Perdue, until recently:

"Former Sen. David Perdue’s once-spirited primary challenge to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp appears to be sputtering in the homestretch ahead of Tuesday’s vote.

Even the man who recruited Perdue to run against Kemp — former President Donald Trump — seems to have given his campaign up for dead, said three Republicans who have spoken to Trump. They say Trump has groused about what he believes is a lackluster campaign effort from Perdue.

Trump isn’t planning to make any more personal appearances in Georgia in Perdue’s behalf, having sunk enough of his own political capital in a race that looks like a lost cause, said a fourth source, a person close to the former president, speaking on condition of anonymity to talk more freely about Perdue’s prospects."  (our emphasis)

It doesn't help the Malignant Loser's cred as a winner that his candidate Perdue is running a whopping 32 points behind Kemp. Of course it was never about the candidate for the Malignant Loser, it was about revenge against Kemp:

“'At the end of the day, Donald Trump doesn’t care about David Perdue winning. He just cared about Brian Kemp losing,' said Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan, a Republican who chose not to run for re-election and incurred Trump’s wrath for defending the state’s 2020 election. 'And that was a very shallow attempt at trying to unseat a perfectly fit conservative governor.'”  (our emphasis)

A number of Republican notables have been campaigning for Kemp, including former VP Mike "Fly Guy" Pence, former President George Bush, and former New Jersey Gov. Chris "Krispykreme" Christie, in a symbolic middle finger to the Malignant Loser. So far, candidates backed by the Malignant Loser aren't faring as well as expected, with many voters not heeding his "complete and total endorsement."

The Republican War On Women - Peach State Primary Day Edition

As we note below,  today is primary day in many states, among them a hotbed of crazy - the State of Georgia.  Each candidate running for the Republican Senatorial nomination has made his or her* own contribution to the Republican War on Women.  However, one candidate stands alone in his personal bidness experience with the challenges women face in the working world:
With Republicans trying to avoid a repeat of 2012's Todd Akin disaster and retake the Senate, the Georgia GOP establishment was happy to see David Perdue, a self-funded businessman, leading in the polls ahead of Tuesday's Senate primary. Compared to gaffe machines such as Rep. Paul Broun, who has pushed personhood for zygotes, and Rep. Phil Gingrey, who defended Akin's "legitimate rape" comment, the former Dollar General CEO seemed unlikely to introduce fraught gender issues into the general election—where Michelle Nunn, the likely Democratic nominee, is polling well against the GOP field.
But Perdue's record on women's issues—specifically, whether women are entitled to equal pay for equal work—is far from clean. In 2006, three years into Perdue's four-plus years as Dollar General's CEO, federal investigators at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found that female store managers who worked for the company he ran "were discriminated against," and "generally were paid less than similarly situated male managers performing duties requiring equal skill, effort, and responsibility." A year later, separate from that investigation, thousands of female managers who were paid less than their male counterparts joined a class action suit against the company—which Dollar General eventually settled, paying the women more than $15 million.  (our emphasis)
* The one female candidate on the Republican side is Karen Handel, who burnished her credentials as a wingnut warrior when, as an official of the Susan G. Komen fund, she used her influence to defund grants to Planned Parenthood.  Following a firestorm, the nice lady was forced to resign in April 2012, hence her appearance in the Senate race, however briefly.
