QOTD -- A Fascist To The Core

 

As Anne Applebaum reminds us, if it looks like a fascist, walks like a fascist, and talks like a fascist, then it probably is a fascist:

... Trump blurs the distinction between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants—the latter including his wife, his late ex-wife, the in-laws of his running mate, and many others. He has said of immigrants, “They’re poisoning the blood of our country” and “They’re destroying the blood of our country.” He has claimed that many have “bad genes.” He has also been more explicit: “They’re not humans; they’re animals”; they are “cold-blooded killers.” He refers more broadly to his opponents—American citizens, some of whom are elected officials—as “the enemy from within … sick people, radical-left lunatics.” Not only do they have no rights; they should be “handled by,” he has said, “if necessary, National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military.”

In using this language, Trump knows exactly what he is doing. He understands which era and what kind of politics this language evokes. “I haven’t read Mein Kampf,” he declared, unprovoked, during one rally—an admission that he knows what Hitler’s manifesto contains, whether or not he has actually read it. “If you don’t use certain rhetoric,” he told an interviewer, “if you don’t use certain words, and maybe they’re not very nice words, nothing will happen.”  [snip]

These are not jokes, and Trump is not laughing. Nor are the people around him. Delegates at the Republican National Convention held up prefabricated signs: Mass Deportation Now. Just this week, when Trump was swaying to music at a surreal rally, he did so in front of a huge slogan: Trump Was Right About Everything. This is language borrowed directly from Benito Mussolini, the Italian fascist. Soon after the rally, the scholar Ruth Ben-Ghiat posted a photograph of a building in Mussolini’s Italy displaying his slogan: Mussolini Is Always Right...

Gen. Mark Milley had it right, too:  Trump's "a fascist to the core."  

You are who you vote for.

Ask yourself, with 15 days until the election and with voting already underway in many States, "what am I doing to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and every down ballot Democrat, and save America from this monster?"  Then double that.

A Thumbnail On Trump Advisor Loony Loomer

 

We've recently been subjected to the botoxed, surgically sculpted face of the convicted felon Malignant Loser's fascist spirit animal Laura "Loony" Loomer, who's been traveling with him everywhere (where's Melania?!) and likely influencing him to release his inner "immigrants- are- eating- your- cats- and- dogs" demons (a story that's still unfolding and that we'll cover later today). Media Matters' Matt Gertz writes about Loomer (and several other fascist Republican influencers);  here's all you need, or want, to know in two paragraphs:

Loomer is a self-described “proud Islamophobe” who is “pro-white nationalism.” She has claimed there is a “genocide” of “native white populations,” which she says are “being replaced in this country by third-world invaders,” and accused “so many rich Jews” of having “a fixation on trying to destroy America.” She has accused the Biden administration of seeking to assassinate Trump; called for the execution of unnamed “Democrats who are guilty of treason”; said that “all of these communist secretaries of state who try to rig our elections” against Trump “belong in jail for election interference”; and shared a video which claimed “9/11 was an Inside Job!”  [snip]

Loomer has in recent weeks described Harris, whose parents immigrated from India and Jamaica, as “a brain-dead bimbo who sucked so much c**k in order to get to the political position that she's in today,” said she  “is NOT black and never has been,” said her election would ensure that “Ebonics will replace English as the language of our land,” and said that if she’s elected “the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center and the American people will only be able to convey their feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that nobody will understand.”

The quotes in that last paragraph (Black and Indian American voters, take note!)were so over the top that it even prompted anti- Semitic, jilted Malignant Loser rival remora Rep. Marjorie Traitor Greene (Sedition-GA) to call Loomer out for her overt, noxious racism.

Unsubstantiated rumors have also been flying, mostly on X/ Twitter, of the mutual admiration between the two blossoming into something more intimate (blocking mental image of their trysting).  Regardless, the most disturbing aspect of this is the fact that the Malignant Loser -- already an unstable, mentally deteriorating ignoramus -- is taking advice from this toxic troll, even though it's likely to benefit the Harris- Walz campaign in drawing a contrast between them and their "weird," scary opponents.  

Loomer is on the outer frontier of far- right activism;  she's long passed the fascist- adjacent line of demarcation.  That she wields such influence with the weak- minded, easily- manipulated Malignant Loser, who still can pull out a victory, is beyond appalling.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

 

The good:

A high-stakes legal drama around a pregnant woman in Texas and the Supreme Court’s announcement it will consider restrictions on the abortion pill mifepristone are the latest unwelcome reminders for Republicans that abortion rights will be front and center ahead of the 2024 election.

Abortion has been a calamitous political issue for the GOP since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last summer — and it’s been a boon for Democrats, boosting them to a string of electoral victories on the issue and lowering their losses.

At a time when President Biden’s approval ratings are down and his party is badly divided over Israel’s war in Gaza, abortion rights are seen as a major unifying and motivating issue as 2024 heats up, particularly as Republicans can be cast as seeking to curtail access to the medical service.

Across-the-aisle tensions on abortion have been on full display over the last week after the Texas Supreme Court blocked Kate Cox, a pregnant woman whose fetus was diagnosed with a fatal condition, from having an abortion. Cox left the state to obtain an abortion just hours before the Texas court rejected her challenge.

Biden has already sought to wield the case as a cautionary tale against Republicans in power and against the GOP presidential front-runner, former President Trump.

“I don’t think they can escape it,” Republican strategist Liz Mair said of next year’s White House candidates, adding that the recent Texas case underscores the salience of the issue.

The forced- birth bastards won't escape their obscene record of interfering in women's reproductive rights.  Every weaseling attempt to do so (looking at you, Nikki "Windsock" Haley) must be swatted down.  And the fact that they insist on showing us who they are, and to what extent they'll go, keeps the issue at or near the top of the list for election 2024.

The bad:  

... More than a decade ago, a cadre of armed military and police personnel took an oath rooted in a conspiracy theory that a globalist cabal was working to steal Americans’ democratic birthright. That narrative was then mainstreamed on the most-watched “news” show on cable TV. And then a Republican presidential candidate exploited the narrative to mobilize a citizen army to steal back the White House after losing the election.

Now, nearly three years later, what should we expect the media establishment to have learned from missing an origin story of January 6? That much of Trump’s constituency understands violence as a central tool for achieving their political aims.

But has the media learned it?  [snip]

Forces are gathering on the Right that see their political aspirations as something worth killing for. When the likes of Mike Huckabee proudly announce the idea of bullets over ballots as an inevitability, media that omit the mounting potential for political violence from their political coverage are abdicating basic journalistic responsibility. It’s certainly as important as totting up who can be expected to caucus for whom in Iowa, or who’s winning over Virginia’s soccer moms.

Horse-race reporting has its place. But it won’t matter much if the men in the MAGA hats blow up the horse track.

That's Rick Perlstein concluding a case for how a decade of media malpractice -- from coverage of the Tea Party and the Oath Keepers by CNN, to the coverage of the Malignant Loser in 2015 /16 -- enabled the  January 6 insurrection and continues to downplay or ignore the "epidemic of right- wing terror" in this country today.

The ugly:

Former President Donald Trump is pushing anti-immigrant rhetoric on the campaign trail again as he took aim at people coming to the U.S. and “poisoning the blood of our country” during a rally on Saturday.

Trump, who has echoed the likes of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini in a recent speech pledging to “root out... vermin” political foes, ranted about immigrants to supporters in Durham, New Hampshire.

“They poison mental institutions and prisons all over the world, not just in South America... but all over the world,” Trump said of immigrants.

“They’re coming into our country, from Africa, from Asia, all over the world,” he continued. “They’re pouring into our country. Nobody is even looking at them, they just come in and the crime is going to be tremendous, the terrorism is going to be.”

Trump also quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin to attack President Joe Biden, saying: “Even Vladimir Putin … says that Biden’s, and this is a quote, politically motivated persecution of his political rival is very good for Russia because it shows the rottenness of the American political system, which cannot pretend to teach others about democracy.”

Along with name-dropping Putin, the former president also mentioned two other authoritarian figures during his rally: North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán. He called Kim “very nice” and Orbán “highly respected,” adding that the latter said “Trump is the man who can save the western world”...

Un- American.  Pure fascist.  Racist.  

The odds- on favorite to be the Christofascist Republican nominee, for the third time, is as evil and deranged a demagogue as those he echoes.  And his MAGAt cult is with him all the way. 

QOTD -- Helpful Clarifications!

 

After the Malignant Loser's promises to "root out" the "vermin" who oppose him should he regain power, people were quick to note that the language mirrored that of fascists like Hitler and Mussolini.  One MAGAt took umbrage and issued several clarifications, stepping deeper into the shit pile with each one:

... “Trump is also using projection: note that he mentions all kinds of authoritarians ‘communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left’ to set himself up as the deliverer of freedom,” Ben-Ghiat said. “Mussolini promised freedom to his people too and then declared dictatorship.”

Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesman, told The Post “those who try to make that ridiculous assertion are clearly snowflakes grasping for anything because they are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and their entire existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House.”

Cheung later clarified that he meant to say their “sad, miserable existence" instead of their “entire existence.” (our emphasis)

Whew!  Though, we think it sounded better in the original German.

What more can be said except, "You're a cunning linguist, Mr. Goebbels Cheung!"

Fascists Of The World, Unite!

The web of the international white supremacist / nativist movement has become clearer in the past few months as neo-fascist demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump and his sinister "advisors" embrace every far right loon from the UK's "Brexit" bozo Nigel Farage to the Netherlands' Islamophobic race-baiter Geert Wilders. Indeed, the entire far right in Europe hailed Rump's loss in the popular vote Electoral College win, calling it "historic," and something that "changes the USA, Europe and the world". Nearly every one of our European allies will have elections in 2017 with racist white supremacist / neo-fascist movements ascending, including heavyweights France (with right-winger Marine Le Pen) and Germany (with xenophobe Frauke Petry). The Netherlands elections come up in March, and should be somewhat of a bellweather for the other nations' elections.

It's reported that Austria's far-right party with the Orwellian name "Freedom Party," signed an agreement yesterday with Putin's United Russia Party to cooperate on measures designed to undermine democratic governments in Western Europe and to make them more agreeable to Russia's territorial and strategic ambitions, a major Putin goal. The so-called Freedom Party was founded in 1956 by Anton Reinthaller, a former SS officer and Nazi functionary, and hasn't drifted far from its founder's contempt for democracy and pluralism. It's also worth noting that Rump's National Security Advisor, former Lt. Gen. Michael "Jack D. Ripper" Flynn, met with the the party's leadership in Trump Towers a few weeks ago, likely to hatch further plans to sow right-wing discord in Europe and curry favor with Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin.

Elections have consequences, some of them quite extreme, here and in Europe. It's vital that those consequences not be ingrained in our societies for generations to come.

Morning "Economic Anxiety" Reading

Jelani Cobb writes at The New Yorker why neo- fascist evangelist Donald "Rump" Trump marks the end of any notion of "American Exceptionalism."  It's a worthwhile read;  here are some thoughts that stood out to us:

... Trump is partly a product of forces that the G.O.P. created by pandering to a base whose dilated pupils the Party mistook for gullibility, not abject, irrational fear that would send those voters scurrying to the nearest authoritarian savior they could find. The error was in thinking that this populace, mainlining Glenn Beck and Alex Jones theories and pondering how the Minutemen would have fought Sharia law, could be controlled. (For evidence to the contrary, the Party needed look no further than the premature political demise of Eric Cantor.) The old adage warns that one should beware of puppets that begin pulling their own strings. [snip] 

... The end result of Trump’s evangelism is that a xenophobic, racist, misogynistic, serially mendacious narcissist is poised to pull in somewhere north of fifty million votes in the midst of the most bitterly contentious election in modern American history. The easy analysis holds that Trump’s jihad against decency has wrecked the Republican Party, but the damage is far more extensive than this. [snip] 

... At a quaint moment in the recent past, it was possible to think that a decisive Clinton victory would exorcise Trumpism from public life. But, on the verge of the election, that idea increasingly seems like an indulgent delusion. The problem of Trump is not simply that his opinions far exceed his knowledge; it’s that what he does know is so hostile to democracy, not only in the Republican Party or the United States but in the world. Whatever happens on November 8th, we are at the outset of a much longer reckoning.

That we've arrived at this point could be traced to a number of factors, but Cobb rightly notes the impact of decades of poisonous propaganda coming from Republican media outlets like hate radio (you could add all the Murdoch- owned properties like Fox "News"/ Wall Street Journal/ New York Post, as well as a slew of pundits who spread lies in the pages and studios of "liberal" news organizations, too). Meanwhile, "both sider-ism" in the "mainstream media" allowed the Republican Party, no matter how far its mad rush to the right became, to maintain the illusion that it was somehow a "normal" "conservative" party, and that its efforts to deny science, oppose rights for women and minorities, trade in the most outrageous lies, etc., was just part of a political conversation in this country and not a perversion of American ideals and principles.

You don't arrive here by accident.  It's taken decades of complicity by countless participants, and now the corrosive effects can be plainly seen.

Trump's "Campaign Of Destabilization"

As we've noted below and here, the evermore destructive shampaign of neo- fascist demagogue and venomous charlatan Donald "Rump" Trump has recently taken a more sinister turn (if that was possible), in constructing an elaborate "conspiracy" to explain Rump's troubles and the looming disaster at the polls for Republicans.  The Washington Post warns about the ramifications of this in an editorial this morning.  Here are a few highlights (but please read it all at the link):

... Follow the logic here, if you can: The country is under the control of a conspiracy, involving not just his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, and the media, but also the entire political “establishment,” Republicans included, in league with unnamed international banks, whose goal is to enrich themselves by controlling “the central base of world political power . . . right here in America” and imposing “radical globalization and the disenfranchisement of working people.” Mr. Trump, and the “movement” he heads, are all that stand in the way of this evil cabal. This election, therefore, is no ordinary political contest but “a crossroads in the history of our civilization that will determine whether or not we the people reclaim control over our government.” Ergo, the cabal will destroy Mr. Trump by “slander” — unless the people stand up and resist “a small handful of global special interests rigging the system.” 

This language — which he read from a prepared text fed into a teleprompter — is inflammatory beyond any demagoguery Mr. Trump had offered previously. Coupled with his repeated warnings, echoed by his followers, that the Democrats may be cooking up Election Day fraud, the speech seems to prepare the ground for resistance in the increasingly likely event that things don’t go his way Nov. 8. Indeed, anyone who agrees that the alternative to a Trump victory is civilizational disaster, the fruit of a “sinister deal,” as Mr. Trump put it in another Florida speech, would feel obligated to deny the legitimacy of a Clinton victory, should it occur. Trump-for-President is not a campaign to redeem American democracy or even to “take it back,” as Mr. Trump puts it; it has morphed into a campaign of destabilization.  (our emphasis)

The Post then admonishes Republican politicians --

They should at least find the decency, and the patriotism, to declare that everyone must respect the results on Nov. 8 — and pursue any protests or disputes through legal channels, not in the streets. Even if Republicans can’t bring themselves to part ways politically with Mr. Trump, they can refuse to cooperate in the trashing of our public discourse and essential civic traditions. Surely that is not too much to ask.  

It's just over 3 weeks to the election, and we think it's way too much to expect of the craven, amoral, party- over- country Republicans to even commit this one act of good citizenship.  Why?  Because all they'll have left in their  arsenal in the smoking ruins of the election will be more rear guard delegitimatizing of another Democratic president. More obstruction, more outrageous apocalyptic politics. Want proof? Here's sleazy coward Rep. Paul "Lyin'" Ryan yesterday in Wisconsin urging a vote for Rump:

“If we do not act, we will not just lose our quality of life, our standard of living — we will lose the spirit that makes America exceptional in the first place,” Ryan said. “If Hillary Clinton wins and she is given control of Washington, if she is given control of Congress, it will not be long before we come to that precipice.”

That doesn't sound to us like someone willing to accept the results of the election and work constructively with the winner.

Finally, the Boston Globe gives us just one recent example of how this destabilizing message is being internalized by Rump's loyal goons supporters:

At a time when trust in government is at a low point, Trump is actively stoking fears that a core tenet of American democracy is also in peril: that you can trust what happens at the ballot box. 

His supporters here said they plan to go to their local precincts to look for illegal immigrants who may attempt to vote. They are worried that Democrats will load up buses of minorities and take them to vote several times in different areas of the city. 

They’ve heard rumors that boxes of Clinton votes are already waiting somewhere.
And if Trump doesn’t win, some are even openly talking about violent rebellion and assassination, as fantastical and unhinged as that may seem.  (our emphasis)

Reading the frankly treasonous comments that follow are, while no longer surprising to us, still shocking in their brutality and lawlessness.  Please go read and see for yourself (hazmat suit may be required).

The only way we see for an outcome like this to be ameliorated in any way is for this to be an electoral landslide of such historic proportions that questions of legitimacy are swept away for all but the most deluded.  Every vote counts, more than ever.

Even If Trump Paid No Taxes For 18 Years, Stormtrumpers Won't Care

The latest from the New York Times this morning:

Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show. 

The 1995 tax records, never before disclosed, reveal the extraordinary tax benefits that Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, derived from the financial wreckage he left behind in the early 1990s through mismanagement of three Atlantic City casinos, his ill-fated foray into the airline business and his ill-timed purchase of the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. 

Tax experts hired by The Times to analyze Mr. Trump’s 1995 records said that tax rules especially advantageous to wealthy filers would have allowed Mr. Trump to use his $916 million loss to cancel out an equivalent amount of taxable income over an 18-year period. 

Although Mr. Trump’s taxable income in subsequent years is as yet unknown, a $916 million loss in 1995 would have been large enough to wipe out more than $50 million a year in taxable income over 18 years.

So, no taxes to support infrastructure, education, health, veterans, the military, etc., etc. in 18 years? Taxes the rest of us have had to make up for while he gilts his toilets. Sure does sound like a sociopathic narcissist who said he thinks he's smart not to pay taxes.

The kicker?  There's a mole close to Rump:

The three documents arrived by mail at The Times with a postmark indicating they had been sent from New York City. The return address claimed the envelope had been sent from Trump Tower.  (our emphasis)

Hmmm. Who oh who could it be?

Now here's why it won't affect his standing one bit with his legions of  deplorables Stormtrumpers:

In a living room in western Pennsylvania, the Republican National Convention was on TV, and Melanie Austin was getting impatient. 

“Who’s that guy?” she said, watching some billionaire talk about prosperity and tolerance. “Prosperity and tolerance? Forget that sh--.” 

She lit a cigarette. Her boyfriend, Kevin Lisovich, was next to her on the couch, drifting to sleep, a pillow over his head. On the ottoman was her cellphone, her notes on the speakers so far — “LOCK HER UP!!” she had written — and the anti-anxiety pills she kept in a silver vial on her keychain. 

She was a 52-year-old woman who had worked 20 years for the railroad, had once been a Democrat and was now a Republican, and counted herself among the growing swath of people who occupied the fringes of American politics but were increasingly becoming part of the mainstream. Like millions of others, she believed that President Obama was a Muslim. And like so many she had gotten to know online through social media, she also believed that he was likely gay, that Michelle Obama could be a man, and that the Obama children were possibly kidnapped from a family now searching for them. [snip] 

The first time she had seen him, at a rally in June, she was just beginning to realize how many people saw the world the way she did, that she was one among millions. At the time, her hips were still sore from a series of injections intended to calm her. She had gotten them in February, during a difficult time in her life, when she had been involuntarily hospitalized for several weeks after what she called a “rant,” a series of online postings that included one saying that Obama should be hanged and the White House fumigated and burned to the ground. On her discharge papers, in a box labeled “medical problem,” a doctor had typed “homicidal ideation.”

(There's a lot of "economic anxiety" there, can you tell?) Of course, Stormtrumpers like this deplorable creature are motivated by a deep, irrational well of racism and xenophobia that's been nurtured and encouraged for decades, not just through "social media" but by a network of crackpot right- wingers, including Fox "News", hate radio, and online hate outlets like Breitbart and Infowars.  They're being mainstreamed in a manner unlike at any other time in recent history by neo- fascist demagogue Donald "Rump" Trump. That's why this election is a test of American democracy: if, when the menace to it has been made abundantly clear, how hard do we fight to stop it?

The Cruel And Unusual Trump

[Ed. note: We often hear that progressives recycle the same manner of arguments against neo- fascist pig Donald "Rump" Trump over and over (bo-ring!):  that he's a sexist, racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, know- nothing, tax evading, lying, cheating (in more ways than one) sociopath -- and that's the short list.  We're no doubt guilty of that on this blog.  While we know most of you who visit here share in our revulsion of this orange sh*tgibbon, there's a large segment of the population that will always put party above country and vote for this monster (let's call them "deplorables"). There's also a segment that is unsure or wavering or that plans to throw away their vote on a third party. Our hope is that if any of you who come here know someone in the latter category, please talk to them and make sure they understand what's at stake, and that their vote is either for Rump or Secretary Clinton.  Staying home or voting third party is a vote for Rump.  We all need to do our part to save this country from a catastrophe. Thirty- nine days until the election.]

Here's some food for thought this morning:

-- Keep in mind, this was written before the "fat- shaming," misogynist example of Rump's treatment of former Miss Universe Alicia Machado during and after last Monday's presidential debate (nor does it include a recent statement by former Miss Australia that Rump "fat shamed" her as well, or this).  There are enough examples of Rump's cruelty to make any normal person gag, and Conor Friedersdorf has compiled a few.  Here's his conclusion:

People disagree about the ideal traits to have in a leader. But almost no one wants a president who has proven himself an addict to being cruel, mean-spirited, and spiteful. For decades, Trump has been deliberately cruel to others, often in the most public ways. 

He behaves this way flagrantly, showing no sign of shame or reflection. 

What kind of person still acts that way at 70? A bad person. 

It is that simple. 

Giving a cruel man power and expecting that he won’t use it to inflict cruelty is madness. To vote for Trump, knowing all of this, is to knowingly empower cruelty. 

Better to recoil in disgust.

-- Rump also got the Steven Colbert treatment on his "fat- shaming" (view the clip here).  Raw Story has some highlights:

Trump explained to his supporters that he’d gone easy on Clinton during Monday’s debate because he didn’t want to embarrass her. 

“Yes, and it’s true — he did nothing to embarrass her,” Colbert said, pausing ever-so-slightly before the last word. “Trump is always acting like such a gentleman. He holds doors for women, gives them the seat on the bus, does no debate preparation. You might call it the addled ramblings of a delusional demagogue, Trump calls it chivalry.” 

Clinton reminded voters that Trump had called a former Miss Universe fat when he owned the beauty pageant, and the Republican doubled down on his insults — which Colbert said might hurt him with the “small special interest group of Americans who gain weight.” 

He suggested Trump’s new campaign slogan could be: “Seriously ladies, you could lose a few pounds.” 

“That kind of brutal honesty takes courage, because Trump weighs 236 pounds, which at his height is technically obese,” Colbert said.

-- Rump does have his deplorable followers, though, who certainly aren't offended by his cruelty:

Not since Southern segregationist George Wallace’s failed presidential bids in 1968 and 1972 have white nationalists been so motivated to participate in a presidential election. 

Andrew Anglin, editor of the Daily Stormer website and an emerging leader of a new generation of millennial extremists, said he had “zero interest” in the 2012 general election and viewed presidential politics as “pointless.” That is, until he heard Trump. 

“Trump had me at ‘build a wall,’” Anglin said. “Virtually every alt-right Nazi I know is volunteering for the Trump campaign.”   (our emphasis)

WTF? Organizing Jewish Voters For Trump In Israel

KARNEI SHOMRON, West Bank — The rabbi hadn’t voted in a U.S. election in 25 years. “Didn’t see the point,” he said. Now Chaim Spring said he was all in for Republican nominee Donald Trump. 

The 80-year-old, whose sunny villa in a Jewish settlement was lined with religious tomes, described himself to reporters as “a big Trump supporter” who watches “a lot of Fox News.”

"... watches 'a lot of Fox News.'"  That'll certainly help.

The overall story is about how there's a robust "Republicans abroad" effort in Israel trying to turn out the vote for neo- fascist white nationalist Donald "Rump" Trump. We wonder if this would be useful information to Rabbi Spring Schmuck and his fellow travelers:

They include the head of the American Nazi Party, three former Ku Klux Klansmen, four people involved in a recent armed standoff against federal authorities at an Oregon wildlife refuge, and at least 15 individuals affiliated with organizations described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as hate groups. 

Trump has disavowed none of them.

"We have a wonderful OPPORTUNITY here folks, that may never come again," wrote Rocky J. Suhayda, the head of the American Nazi Party, last fall. "Donald Trump's campaign statements, if nothing else, have SHOWN that 'our views' are NOT so 'unpopular' as the Political Correctness crowd have told everyone they are!"  (our emphasis)

The linked article provides a listing of 20 prominent "alt- right" figures who are supporting Rump, including avowed Nazis and other vicious anti- Semites. Those are some really strange bedfellows for Rabbi Schmuck and his fellow Israeli Rump supporters to lie down with.  But, perhaps, should Rump and his fellow neo- fascists take over, they can recruit some people of Rabbi Schmuck's persuasion (who are "all in") to help round up and stop and frisk the enemies of Trump the state.  Why, there's even an armband they can sport:

Clinton Goes After Trump, "Alt-Right" (UPDATED)

Timed to coincide with Hillary Clinton's speech in Reno, NV, this afternoon, her campaign released their latest video on neo- fascist toddler Donald "Rump" Trump's ties with white supremacist "alt- right" hate groups:



In her speech, Clinton quoted an old Spanish proverb: “Tell me with whom you walk, and I will tell you who you are,"  then added,  "A few words on a teleprompter won’t change that.”  It appears, thanks to his narcissism and need for exposure, most Americans are well aware of Donald "Rump" Trump's ugly views, and they don't like him one bit.

Since neo- fascist bigot Donald "Rump" Trump is a believer in "profiling," let's profile what Rump supporters look like, starting with these two Stormtrumpers:

When police raided a home occupied by two Trump supporting neo-Nazi brothers in Mt. Sinai, New York on Thursday, it wasn't long before they realized they may have stopped another shooting like the one that happened a week ago in Orlando, Florida. 

In the 6:00 a.m. raid, officers recovered six assault rifles, four rifles, a handgun, 25 high-capacity magazines, a shotgun, and some 3,000 to 5,000 rounds of ammunition. [snip]

Brothers Edward Perkowski, 29, and Sean Perkowski, 25, also had a copious supply of neo-Nazi and white power paraphernalia in their single-story suburban home, police said. And Edward Perkowski is a supporter of Donald Trump. Considering Trump's racist rhetoric, this should come as no surprise.

How about this psychopath:

A disgraced police officer called on militia members and “lone wolf patriots” to bring their guns to Cleveland to do battle with black protesters at the Republican National Convention. 

“I am encouraging patriots and Trump supporters and those that support liberty and freedom to come lawfully armed with lethal and non-lethal weaponry,” said Jim Stachowiak, a right-wing activist and former police officer, in a video posted on his YouTube channel.

And this opiate entrepreneur:

A Tea Party activist who frequently argues against anti-drug measures at government meetings has been arrested for illegally selling prescription drugs. 

John “J.R.” Roth was arrested Thursday night in Highland Heights, Kentucky, and charged with felony trafficking in a controlled substance after police said he sold 10 oxycodone pills to an informant, reported the Cincinnati Enquirer. 

The 60-year-old Roth, who is a Donald Trump supporter and promotes “birther” conspiracy theories, is a fixture at local government meetings in Campbell County, where he complains about government spending for almost anything.  [snip]

Roth, who has been previously cited for animal cruelty and accused of domestic violence, was released from jail on bond. 

If convicted, the Tea Party activist faces up to five years in jail.

We know we focus a lot on these right- wing Trump lowlifes.  That's only because there's a lot of right- wing Trump lowlifes.  (So many lowlifes, so little time.)  We should never be surprised by the ignorance, racism and hypocrisy of these people - perhaps only to the degree.
