Another Ominous Sign for the Rethugs

In a survey conducted by the College Republican National Committee, young voters overwhelmingly sided with progressives on key issues.  From immigration reform to marriage equality to tax policy, young voters espoused positions supported by the Democratic Party, rejecting the Rethug obsession with "Big Government" and "lower taxes."  Even on tax policy, the young favored raising taxes on the wealthiest Americans, rather than lowering taxes across the board.

The results of the survey were borne out by the election trends in 2012, and the growing acceptance of Democratic positions on social issues like marriage equality and universal health access.  It will almost certainly be ignored or brushed off by the far-right Rethug establishment as a "failure to communicate" how wonderful their policies are to young people.  Actually, the young people get it;  it's the far-right Rethugs that don't.
