The Dim and Dimmer Show

Yesterday, when the court released Kentucky homophobe and serial bride/divorcee Kim "Dim" Davis from jail for her contempt of court in not issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples, she was greeted outside the jail by a spirited crowd of American Talibangelists waving both the American flag and the Confederate flag of treason.  Dim's release was conditioned upon the promise that she wouldn't interfere with her office issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

The scene would not have been complete, however, without someone from the Republican clown car bus to egg Dim and her dimwits on.  That someone turned out to be diabetes snake oil salesman and radical theocrat Mike "Huckster" Huckabee, who at one point offered to go to jail in place of Dim, should she violate the District court order (and Supreme Court ruling) again (we say take him up on his offer, and put him in with the hard cases).  Huckster, who is flailing around in single digits in the polls, will no doubt be accusing Dems and the President of flouting the law / Constitution in the coming weeks as the Iran nuclear deal in put in place over the disingenuous objections of the Rethugs.  Par for the hypocritical course of today's right winger:  "I can pick and choose which laws I'll follow because a voice in my head told me so!"

UPDATE:  Ooooh, it looks like Canada's own Sen. Ted "Tailgunner Ted" Cruz was there trying to get on stage to share the spotlight, but Huckster's brownshirts blocked his way.  Now, that's not very "Christian."  Bwahahaha.
