Quote of the Day, Hack To Hack Edition

“You’re a hack! You are in with the cabal of the Reagan loyalists who don’t want the truth to be told!” --  (emphasis added) Fux shouter Bill "O'Liely" O'Reilly on his show last night, expressing his anger at fellow hack and St. Ronnie of Hollywood's hagiographer George "Effing" Will, who had written a very negative review of O'Liely's book "Killing Reagan."  Effing Will gave away the game when he said that any attempt to discredit St. Ronnie was an attempt to discredit conservatism.  He was upset that O'Liely's book wasn't sufficiently worshipful of the late President, and that O'Liely had depicted St. Ronnie as easily manipulated and lax in his duties (and perhaps senile).

Effing Will is so deeply invested in the myths and false legends of his idol that any speck of criticism has to be suppressed, as with any cult of personality.
