Originating in Detroit, The Volebeats have the reputation of being a really good band that not many people know about. Their songs have popped up on movie soundtracks (our selection today was featured in 2005's Shopgirl) and they have a sound that's been described as a mix of R.E.M., the Everly Brothers, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, etc. Here's their song "Somewhere In My Heart."
