Profile in Cowardice

Responding to former CIA Director George Tenet's appearance on 60 Minutes last night, former CIA officer Larry Johnson and five of his ex CIA colleagues blasted Tenet for not speaking up about the cooked information on WMD and a link between bin Laden and Saddam Hussein that Dead Eye Dick and Commander Codpiece used in the run up to the invasion of Iraq. "He could have stood up and spoke [sic] out when he had the job. . . .instead, he kept silent." And when he kept silent, he allowed the propaganda for the war to go unchallenged, and consigned over 3,200 - - and counting - - servicemen and women to their deaths. He collected the Medal of Freedom from the Preznit as a "thank you" for keeping quiet.

He doesn't bear quite the responsibility as Bush, Cheney and the neocon cabal, but he's really not far behind them at all.
