Police in the Denver suburb of Aurora yesterday made a routine traffic stop, and discovered a sniper rifle and methamphetamine in the car. They also found that the driver and his associates wanted to shoot Sen. Obama during the convention, according to a statment that one of them made.
The alleged conspirators, looking like extras from Deliverance, had some Nazi and white supremacist literature (which they may be unable to read). Federal and state authorities are continuing to investigate. Right wing hate radio fuels this insanity, as do parents who pass along their bigotry to their children.
