Marc Ambinder at The Atlantic asks whether the press would ignore it if Sen. Obama had received campaign contributions through an alleged war profiteer in Jordan from a family named Abdullah. Well, McBush did. And what is our esteemed media doing? Digging into the source of the contribution? No, they're busy psychoanalyzing John Edwards' affair and sniffing for further evidence of illicit semen.
Were the contributions given to Sen. Obama, you can be sure that the mainstream media would be in high gear, the wingnut blogosphere would be up in arms, and Fux News would be having round the clock coverage with helicoptors hovering over Obama. But since it's media favorite McMaverick, well: let's move on, nothing to see here.
