Competence You Can Believe In

Since some of us were busy nodding off during last night's speech by Sen. McAncient, we missed the backdrop during part of his speech. The close shots made it look like he was standing in front of that green backdrop that he unfortunately used the night Obama clinched the nomination. But it was the lawn of the Walter Reed Middle School. What does that school have to do with anything in his speech? Well, apparently the Rethug geniuses that put on the show don't know the difference between Walter Reed Middle School and the Walter Reed Army Hospital in D.C., and certainly don't care. Support our vets!

As Atrios puts it (channeling McAncient), "that's not competence we can believe in, my friends."
