There are reports that the McBungle campaign is acknowledging that Sarah "Who?" Palin was only subjected to a more detailed background interview the day before St. John McBungle announced her as his running mate, when she revealed her daughter's pregnancy. The. Day. Before. Vetting your most important selection.
Unbelievable. Remember that McBungle wrapped up the Rethuglican nomination in March, and has had roughly 5 months to conduct a thorough and responsible vetting of a vice presidential candidate. His Rethug competitors in the primaries were on board with his candidacy, and he had lots of time for consideration. Contrast that with Sen. Obama, who was locked in a tough primary fight with Sen. Clinton until early June, yet who still managed to do a credible job of selecting a running mate. And McBungle wants us to trust him (and Who?) with the most serious job on earth after showing such stellar judgement and wisdom.
Act in haste, repent at your leisure. Isn't that Dumbya's philosophy, too?
