Promising Developments

Not a bad week when you can say:

1. The Gulf oil gusher seems to be capped for now, pending further monitoring. The relief wells will presumably permanently seal the well by mid-August.

2. The Senate passed the financial reform legislation, one of three major pieces of legislation that add to Obama's legacy, the health insurance reform and stimulus bills being the other two. The Rethugs, always doing the bidding of the predatory bankers on Wall Street, are already talking repeal. Bring it on, jackasses.
