Mental Health Break

"This is America. I don't want a tomato picked by a Mexican. I want it picked by an American. Then sliced by a Guatemalan, and served by a Venezuelan in a spa where a Chilean gives me a Brazilian." -- Stephen Colbert, "testifying" before the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Security. The glares from some of the Rethug Congressmen (neo-Fascist Steve King of Iowa being one) indicated that Colbert's humor was hitting its mark. But it was disappointing to see a humorless Michigan Dem John "Grim John" Conyers' clueless reaction: he asked Colbert to leave when it became obvious that he departed from his written statement. If not for Colbert, that hearing, worthwhile as it was, would have been ignored. (Conyers later reversed his position).

Here's the clip of the testimony.
