On the scale of crazy Rethugs, "Poot" Gingrich was out there, but never that close to the end of the scale... until now. Steve Benen talks about Poot's jumping the Obama derangement shark lately, as he's been desperately vying for media attention with the likes of Winky and Boo Hoo. Keep in mind, as Benen notes, that Poot is someone the media treats with something akin to reverence, as a "thinker." With his latest racist and demagogic dog whistles, Poot's more of a "stinker."
