"We Don't Pay Taxes, Only The Little People Pay Taxes"
Those were the infamous words of the late "Queen of Mean" hotel mogul Leona Helmsley, and they're largely true today. On this tax day, it's worth noting that the value of the budget cuts in 2011 ($38 billion) is exceeded by the value of the tax cuts on the wealthiest Americans ($42 billion) -- so the cuts in domestic programs actually did pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans after all. But don't weep for them: they have the Rethuglican / New Confederate Party under contract to protect their interests. And they've been doing quite well, thank you very much.
Your tax dollars -- and Rethuglican politicians -- at work.
