"And I'm telling you that the business community is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the president of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs." -- Wynn Resorts billionaire Steve Wynn, speaking recently on a conference call with investors. A few points:
-- Wynn Resorts has seen record profits since Obama came into office.
-- The American "business community" is sitting on over $1.5 trillion in profits rather than re-investing it in jobs, etc., and Wynn's statement simply confirms what many have long suspected about cranks like him - that it's to do political harm to Obama.
-- Wynn, in addition to being a sufferer of Obama Derangement Syndrome, also has retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease characterized by increasing "tunnel vision" (irony intended).
"Sitting on their thumbs", indeed! As long as that's where Wynn's thumb is, he should just go ahead and rotate on it.
