"The Kinds of People Who Get Eaten By Bears"

Steve Benen reports about the "reality gap" in the debt ceiling discussions, and in the larger political arena. Benen writes about some of the Rethug/teatard Congressmen who haven't the slightest clue, apparently, about the consequences of failing to raise the debt ceiling, even at this critical stage. Some are in the crop of Rethug freshmen that the tea baggers elected, some are more established crackpots like Rep. Steve "Boom Goes the Economy!" King (Lunatic-IA). I personally think it's giving them too much credit to say they know better, and that they're simply posturing to the tea baggers knowing the grown-ups will raise the debt ceiling. No, I think the guy had it right when he said, "These are the kinds of people who get eaten by bears."

One could only hope.
