While the Beltway Village media continues to pretend that the Rethugs have serious differences over policy with the Obama Administration on the economy, clearly it's all about sabotaging any Federal measures to create jobs. Case in point: the letter the Rethug Congressional leadership sent to Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, asking the Federal Reserve not to assist in further economic stimulus by increasing the money supply and easing unemployment.
As the 2012 election nears, expect the Rethugs to pull out all stops in desperately trying to undermine economic recovery. Combined with the Rethugs' protection of the wealthiest Americans and multi-national corporations on tax policy, this should give Dems a powerful populist advantage -- if they use it well and often.
