Sunday Morning Reading

Frank Bruni has an interesting op-ed piece in the New York Times that delves into the influence that Willard "Millionaire Mittens" Romney's Mormon faith has had on him. While his church seems to be a centerpiece of his life, as Mittens himself would acknowledge, he avoids any meaningful discussion of it (aside from the missionary work in France). Bruni observes that this avoidance has affected his personality -- reserved, stiff, defensive and secretive. It's an interesting discussion of how Mittens has been shaped by his church (and by his family's history in it), and how his fear of discussing it actually hurts him.
