Our Broken Media, Cont'd.

A few weeks ago, political scientists Norman Ornstein and Thomas Mann published a study that looked at the phenomenon of governmental gridlock and polarization. Their conclusion was that the Rethuglicans were almost entirely to blame because of their growing extremism and obstruction.

Do you recall any significant coverage of their study? On the networks? National newspapers? On Fux? (OK, that last one would be when pigs fly). Media Matters explains that a major reason is that the mainstream media has been complicit in muddying Rethuglican mischief by bending over backwards to find infractions by the Dems...you know, "balance." They avoid at all costs to appear "partisan," even when one group is committing political arson. In their world, the arsonist and the fireman are both to blame.
