Positive Economic Signs

The Conference Board reports that consumer confidence in November reached its highest point in over four years, indicating consumers are feeling better about the economy and their own economic situations. Home prices also continue to rise, a further sign of a strengthening economy. Finally, the Thanksgiving shopping season was very healthy, with Cyber Monday alone posting a 30% boost in sales. If Christmas sales are robust, and a good deal is struck for the middle class in the so-called Fiscal Cliff negotiations, expect a real economic boom to begin in 2013.
