Many have noted the conspicuous silence of the National Rampage Association in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre. It's the NRA's standard mode following a mass killing with guns: duck and cover, strategize, wait for the outrage to subside, send a few of your coin-operated Rethug and ConservaDem politicians out to talk about mental health/Hollywood movies/videogames, and so on. Then, when the time is right, barrage Congress with money and threats of retaliation if any restrictions on guns -- especially assault weapons -- are proposed.
