Rethug Crime Blotter, Cheesehead Division

It's well remembered that Wisconsin's Rethuglican Gov. Scott "Koch Head" Walker tried to turn Wisconsin into a wholly-owned subsidiary of Koch Industries and to create a one-party rule of thuggery and union-busting. He's been chastened slightly by the election victories of Dems in the Wisconsin State Senate, and by the victories of President Obama and Sen. Tammy Baldwin, but he'll be up to his old tricks again soon, no doubt.

Meanwhile, Koch Head's associates are taking some hard shots in the judicial system. The latest is former aide Timothy Russell, who was sentenced to two years in prison for stealing $21,000 from a veterans organization that he was appointed to lead by Koch Head. Let that sink in: from a veterans organization. Russell is one of several Koch Head associates to be convicted of felonies, and there are certainly more to come. In fact, Russell's domestic partner, Brian Pierick, is going on trial later this month for child enticement. Wonderful people, just the kind you want around your tax money and kids.
