Crazy Eyes Bows Out of 2014

One of Congress' most extreme tinfoil-hatted specimens has decided not to run for reelection in 2014.  Minnesota loon  Rep. Michele "Crazy Eyes" Bachmann made her announcement on a YouTube video and her website late last night.  Crazy Eyes was facing another tough challenge from hotel executive Jim Graves and, more significantly, an investigation by the FBI over possible violations to campaign finance laws last year when she ran for the Rethuglican nomination.

Crazy Eyes has been dodging the press of late, mainly over the investigation and related topics, but also because some members of the press have questioned her heretofore unchallenged nutty utterances.  Releasing a political statement in the middle of the night is one way of saying you can't stand the heat of the day.  There're plenty of wealthy, right wing sugar daddies out there that provide wingnut welfare to the Bachmanns and Palins of the world, so don't expect Crazy Eyes to completely disappear after 2014.  For the sake of political comedy, we hope not.
