Deen Done

Food Network host and Southern cooking and lifestyle maven Paula "I Paulagize" Deen has been let go by the Network after admitting in a deposition that she used the N-word in the past and was racially insensitive in a number of instances, including planning for a "Southern plantation" event at which middle-aged African-American males would serve as waiters dressed in antebellum-style butler uniforms.  While she released videos yesterday offering her apologies, the Food Network declined to renew her contract.  These events were triggered by a lawsuit alleging discrimination and harassment at a restaurant she co-owns with her brother in South Carolina.
