Eric "Cancer" Cantor on the House Rethugs'
abysmal failure to pass appropriations bills to avoid a government shutdown. Recently, House Rethugs failed to pass a comprehensive Farm Bill, and just last week they failed to pass the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriation bill. Wallace also wondered why Cancer's House colleagues
hadn't taken up the immigration reform legislation that passed the Senate on a bipartisan vote. Cancer's response?
“We are not going to be bringing the Senate bill up. We will have a vote on a series of bills at some point, Chris."
"At some point. " Cancer knows immigration reform with a path to citizenship is anathema to the nativist teabagger right wing, and more practically, will likely lead to some red states gradually turning purple and eventually blue (e.g., Texas). So when Cancer says "at some point," what he actually means is "never."
