Mega-typhoon Haiyan slammed into the Philippines roughly 48 hours ago, and we are just now getting a sense of the magnitude of the damage caused. Philippine Government souces say the death toll may reach 10,000, with several cities in the path of the typhoon mostly or completely destroyed. The Pentagon is rushing aid to the Philippines, with widespread power outages, blocked roads, and food and clean water in short supply. (On a personal note, the lady that has cut this Hackwhacker's hair for more than a dozen years was in Cebu, Philippines to attend her mother's funeral, and was in the path of the storm. No word on her situation, but we're hoping for the best).
