The Poynter Institute, a non-profit school for journalism, has named the "60 Minutes" fairytale on Benghazi! BENGHAZI!! as journalism's "Error of the Year". Reporter and home wrecker Lara Logan and her producer on the story were asked by CBS News to take an indefinite leave of absence over the debacle. ("Indefinite" for CBS means that she'll be back early next year, according to reports. Maybe they'll assign her to stories about the evils of Obamacare).
Runner up was the right-wing New York Post's cover picture of two innocent youths with the caption "Bag Men," stating that the FBI was looking for them in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing last spring. The youths are suing the paper for libel, invasion of privacy, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. We wish them great success.
