Climate change denial is a big industry, so big that over $1 billion is being channeled in to "think tanks" and assorted "experts" by wealthy individuals and organizations through front organizations that aren't required to divulge the sources of their money. Some major recipients of this plutocratic largess are the Heritage Foundation and American Enterprise Institute, who then dutifully prepare "studies" and dispatch "experts" to cast doubt on the overwhelming scientific evidence that human activity is causing a warming of the Earth's climate.
Money can always buy lies, but they can't buy facts, and the more that the funding behind this cynical and despicable effort is exposed, the better to counteract their efforts. Our decendants' judgement of them will be harsh indeed.
