HealthCare.gov Breakthrough?

After the disastrous roll out of the Affordable Care Act's website on October 1, the Administration has scrambled to fix its numerous glitches, and it appears they've succeeded.  On December 23, a flood of about 2 million applicants successfully accessed the website in order to purchase insurance that would take effect on January 1, 2014.

The more uninsured people -- especially young people -- that acquire health insurance through HealthCare.gov or State health care exchanges established under the ACA, the more difficult it will be for Rethuglican obstructionists to dismantle it and to force a return to the good old days of capricious denial of benefits, no insurance for preexisting conditions, and lifetime caps on coverage.

P.S. After the dust settles later, accept Secretary Sebelius' "resignation" and fire those on the White House staff that almost tanked the President's signature achievement through their incompetence.
