ExxonMobil Beds Down With Putin
Texas-based oil giant ExxonMobil is moving ahead with its Russian government-owned partner Rosneft to drill in the Arctic, defying the spirit if not the letter of the U.S. sanctions imposed against Russia. Russian autocrat Vladimir "Vlad the Invader" Putin is celebrating the end run by ExxonMobil, who is proving Lenin's observation that, "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them."
ExxonMobil CEO Rex "The Rope Seller" Tillerson can't be accused of consistency or loyalty to his company or country when it comes to his wallet: he came out against a fracking project that would have affected his private property, while pushing it elsewhere as CEO of ExxonMobil. He's the perfect hero for me-me-me Ayn Randian "libertarians."
