Quote of the Day

"Heterosexuals get drunk and pregnant, producing unwanted children; their reward is to be allowed to marry. Homosexual couples do not produce unwanted children; their reward is to be denied the right to marry. Go figure."  -- Judge Richard Posner, U.S. Court of Appeals, 7th Circuit, striking down the same-sex marriage bans passed by yahoos in Wisconsin (Wolf v. Walker) and Indiana (Baskin v. Bogan).  Posner, an appointee of St. Ronald Reagan, is a highly respected conservative jurist who has departed from the accelerating rightward plunge of the Republican/ New Confederate/ Stupid Party in recent years.  He's noted as the most cited legal scholar of the 20th Century.  This would be a good excerpt to cite in future cases, we think.
