Indiana Rethugs Amend Homophobic Law

Just six days after Indiana's Governor Mike "Dense" Pense (American Taliban-IN) signed the now-infamous "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" which allowed businesses to discriminate against LGBT customers, the state legislature amended the law to prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual identity.  Buckling under ferocious pressure from corporate supporters, activists and national organizations and institutions, the state legislature announced the amendment to the law this morning.

As we noted yesterday, Dense and the law were initially supported across the board by Republican Presidential hopefuls like House of Bush princeling John Ellis "J.E.B." Bush, who is now busy spinning his position in an attempt to contain the damage with the corporate "establishment" wing of the Republican / New Confederate / Stupid Party, not to mention the gullible who viewed him as a "moderate conservative" not particularly beholden to radical evangelicals.  How wrong they were.
